The ultimate list of design resources for every designer in 2021

If you are a designer, then you know that there is no shortage of tools and resources out there to help you design. Sometimes it can be hard to find the best ones, so I have collected some of my favorites in this article for your convenience. Designers are faced with a huge number of choices when it comes to designing something new or refreshing an old project. Whether they need inspiration or want more information on design trends, these resources should prove helpful as well as inspirational.

1. Colors

We always need inspiration for the next branding project, and here are a few of our favorite color resources to help save time on research.

  • Coolors.co - Generate or browse beautiful color combinations for your designs.

2. Accessibility

It’s 2021; let’s make sure our website meets all the current accessibility standards. Here are great tools for every designer and developer out there.

3. Analytics

Here are some of our favorite privacy-focused analytics tools that we have tried and tested out.

4. Automation

It’s time to automate some of your work processes, so here are a few great ways you can get started.

Fantastic time to be alive for the bad writers like myself. We have such an amazing collection of tools to help us out. If I could write this article so can anybody!

7. Email Marketing

There’s no need to explain email marketing in 2021, but here are a few great tools you can use.

It can be hard to find great fonts. There are so many to choose from. So we need to have our top 5 saved and stored. We don’t need to find new fonts for every single project we do. But if you’re looking for inspiration, here are some sites that might help out.

  • MyFonts - Large selection of professional fonts for any project.

  • FontFace Ninja - A browser extension to identify and try fonts on any website.
  • Fonts in the Wild - Find the perfect free or paid font for your next project.

9. Icons

There are many great resources out there for icons, and you don’t need to make them from scratch unless you really want to.

10. Illustrations, Shapes & Patterns

I can’t create stunning illustrations, and I can’t paint, either. I feel so inadequate in that department. However, it is crucial to have good resources available that will help you prototype your next project.

12. Photography

We always recommend professional photography for client projects. But sometimes stock photos can be just as good. Especially when creating a high-fidelity prototype.
